Pamela Kunz, MD, assistant professor, Division of Oncology, Stanford University School of Medicine, talks about the findings of the phase II study of everolimus plus bevacizumab in pNETs, as well as bevacizumab in progressive pNETS.
Kunz says that the immunotherapy drug has recently shown successful results in lung cancer and melanoma as well, possibly due to their “agnosticism” regarding disease sites. Looking toward the future, Kunz touches on FDA approvals for newer immunotherapies and their effectiveness in diseases like lung cancer, melanoma and pNETs.
